Ashton, Idaho, is a small, rural community known as the “World’s Largest Seed Producing Area.” It sits at the junction of two scenic byways: Mesa Falls Scenic Byway and Teton Scenic Byway. Today, there are four races: two 45-mile races, two 25-mile races, a 4-mile skijor race, and a 4-mile junior race open to mushers 16 years or younger. There’s also a weight pull and a showshoe race. The route for each race begins and ends in Ashton.
